Our Approach

As a family-run business, we focus our efforts on just four wines: a Mendocino County Syrah, an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, an Anderson Valley Chardonnay, and a California Port. Each wine reflects the patient craftsmanship of our winemakers, upholding the tradition of excellence begun at Silver Oak Cellars while trailblazing into promising new ground.

Our focus has produced gratifying results. The Syrah grown in the cool climate of the Yorkville Highlands appellation has proven to be the region’s most promising grape variety, one we believe will one day produce world class wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon is made from the family’s prized Bonny’s Vineyard in Oakville. The Chardonnay grapes are grown in the fog-drenched Anderson Valley, not far from our mountain winery. Up to eight years of blending and aging gives our Port the warm-spice aromas and long, concentrated finish savored by port enthusiasts.

All four wines embody the Meyer Family philosophy: in the endless pursuit of perfection, viticulture is best practiced without compromise.
